Turkey Announces Expanded Ban on Alcohol and Tobacco Sales

Turkey expands ban on alcohol and tobacco sales in health, education, culture, and sports facilities. Exceptions for accommodations, entertainment, and camping areas.

According to reports, officials in Turkey have announced an expansion of the ban on the supply and sale of tobacco and alcohol products in the country.

In an official statement, the bulletin explicitly stated that the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products within all public health, education, cultural, and sports facilities is now prohibited.

It is worth noting that the ban does not apply to sales points in accommodation, entertainment, and camping areas.

Since 2013, Turkey has implemented a ban on the sale of alcoholic beverages between the hours of 10 pm and 6 am local time (1900-0300 Greenwich Mean Time).
