Korean tobacco KT & G researchers won the 55th Innovation Award

On July 2, according to foreign reports, on June 24, Kim IK Jung, a senior researcher at KT & G of South Korea tobacco, won the prime minister’s award at the 55th tomorrow’s awards ceremony organized by the Korea Intellectual Property Office and sponsored by the invention Promotion Association, in recognition of his contribution to the industrial development of South Korea.

It is reported that Kim IK Jung is widely praised for the development of liposoluble liquid encapsulation technology, which was previously only owned by famous pharmaceutical manufacturers in Japan and Europe, and has obtained patents in Korea and overseas.

The technology enables KT & G to localize the production of tobacco capsules, which previously relied on imports from Japan. The technology could also be used in other industries, including pharmaceuticals and food.
