FDA issues warning letters to 10 companies selling disposable flavoring e-cigarettes

According to vapingpost, the U.S. FDA has issued a warning letter to 10 e-cigarette companies, warning them to stop selling disposable flavoring electronic cigarette products and electronic liquids that attract young people. The FDA pointed out that these products have not yet obtained the pre marketing authorization.

A recent national survey conducted in the United States shows that the smoking rate of American teenagers has decreased significantly. On the other hand, there have been reports of an increase in the use of disposable e-cigarettes, which is due to the exemption of disposable products from the flavoring ban.

Prior to the release of the data, the FDA has issued warning letters to 10 e-cigarette companies, including cool clouds distribution, asking them to remove their flavored disposable e-cigarettes from the market because they do not have the required pre market authorization. The new measures are an effort by the agency to pull products it considers attractive to teenagers from the market.

“The food and Drug Administration continues to give priority to enforcement of e-cigarette products, especially those that attract the most young people,” said Stephen M. Hahn, director of the food and drug administration. We are concerned about the popularity of these products among young people and want to show all tobacco manufacturers and retailers that even during the current pandemic, the FDA is keeping a close eye on the market and will hold the company accountable. “

Mitch Zeller, director of the FDA tobacco products center, added: “although personal inspection activities such as retail compliance checks and vape store inspections have been suspended due to the covid-19 influenza pandemic, our enforcement of unauthorized e-cigarettes products has continued.”

It is reported that among the 10 companies warned, puff bar, HQD tech USA LLC and myle vape Inc. have received warning letters due to illegal sales of disposable e-cigarettes, while seven other enterprises are facing imminent warning letters, namely eleaf USA, vape deal LLC, majestic vapor LLC, e picket Empire LLC, Ohm city vapes Inc., breazy Inc. and hina Singh Enterprises (only as eliquids distro Inc.)
