90% of Australians Support Regulation for E-Cigarettes

According to a report by Australian news platform 3aw on October 16th, a survey conducted by data research institution RedBridge showed that as the illegal nicotine market grows, 90% of Australians want regulation on e-cigarettes, similar to nicotine products and alcohol.

Theo Foukkare, the CEO of the Australian Association of Convenience Stores, has stated that Australians have “awoken” to the need for strict regulations that allow adults to leisurely use e-cigarettes while ensuring better protection for children.

He said, “Health Minister Butler said we need to double down on the ban, so we need to double down on implementing this failed prescription model. Since then, we have witnessed a constant and explosive growth.
