Reporters learned from the Public Security Bureau of Ejinholo, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, on Tuesday that the bureau had cracked a case of illegal selling of HNB cartridges through the Internet, and arrested seven suspects, with a value of 3.7 million yuan.
On August 2, 2019, the police found that Yang, a local resident, was suspected of using the Internet to purchase and sell tobacco monopoly products. According to the investigation, since October 2018, Yang bought a brand of HNB carts made in foreign countries through wechat platform and several wechat friends, and then sold them on the Internet, involving a huge amount of money.
Subsequently, the local police set up a task force to find out a criminal chain of buying, entering, operating and selling HNB carts from abroad. The task force successively went to Hohhot, Hunchun, Hangzhou and other places to carry out arrest work, and finally successfully arrested 7 suspects.
According to the investigation, Yang communicated with the sales personnel on line through WeChat, and paid the purchase of HNB carts through WeChat, Alipay, bank transfer and so on. The on-line salesmen delivered cigarettes and cart cargo through express logistics or passenger cars, and Yang sold them to other offline personnel by WeChat’s order and express mail. According to statistics, the amount involved in the case is about 3.7 million yuan.
At present, the case is under further processing.
