According to foreign reports, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CPB) officials seized six batches of goods in Indianapolis, including more than 10000 unauthorized Juul smoke bombs, worth more than 156000 U.S. dollars. All the goods came from Ontario, Canada, and were shipped to different locations in New York and New Jersey.

It is reported that the goods arrived in the United States respectively and were all sealed up on April 8. These electronic nebulizers are labeled “electrical appliances”, which is the usual practice of smugglers.

“Our officials are committed to identifying and intercepting these goods that may endanger the community, our officials and experts enforce hundreds of laws for many cooperating agencies, and are committed to ensuring the health and safety of American citizens,” Indianapolis acting port director Kerry Carter said in a statement

Last year, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced that it would strengthen the enforcement focus on electronic nicotine delivery systems, and issued detailed guidance on these new enforcement focus to the tobacco industry to control the unauthorized import of tobacco products.
