The Caliburn Koko Prime by Uwell is a tiny pod that looks great and is really practical. Almost too easy to use, its micro format doesn’t stop it from being a big deal when it comes to delivering quality flavours.
The pocket pod
It’s really small and really compact. The Caliburn Koko Prime is small enough to almost disappear. At less than 7 cm in height and barely 16 mm wide, it’s the perfect companion for the occasional, discrete vape. It’s super simple and ultra practical, but it’s up there with the best in its class when it comes to delivering flavour.

Looking good Koko
It’s time for some colour at Uwell! The body of the pod is a solid colour but the sides are a riot of colourful paint splashes. It’s graphic, fun and really brightens up the whole pod. The best part is that the case is magnetic so you can take it off and put on another for a more personalized look. It handles well and feels tightly put together.
On the underside of the pod there’s a USB-C connector for fast charging. The 690 mAh battery charges in no time. The built-in battery is sized to fit the Caliburn Koko Prime, so you might think decent battery life is hard with such a small battery. Even so, we vaped comfortably with it for a while, so you don’t need to recharge it that often. The coils that work with the pod don’t use much battery power.
The hole on the side is an air inlet for cooling the coil. It’s barely there, so take care not to cover it with your fingers when you’re holding the pod. The pod is small enough to hold between your thumb and forefinger, so you won’t block the air flow. It’s as light as a feather at just over 50 g, so the Caliburn Koko Prime is extremely discreet. The e-liquid cartridge sits just above the air inlet. It fits perfectly.
On the top of the pod there’s a hook so you can clip your Caliburn Koko to the lanyard that comes in the box. It’s as colourful as the pod, but very practical when you’re on the go. Whether it’s in a bag, pocket or around your neck, this pod is discreet and compact. The Caliburn Koko Prime really looks fantastic. It is microscopic, well-finished and extremely well designed.
Ultra simple
The cartridge sits above the battery, and is held in place by elongated guides which show you the liquid level. But we’ll come back to that later. It is totally tight, without the slightest movement. You can also fit the cartridge in two different directions. The air intake changes depending on the position of the tank inside the battery housing. The draw ranges from tight to airier. You can use it for direct inhalation (directly into your lungs) but that’s less enjoyable than indirect inhalation (into your mouth, then your lungs, like a tobacco cigarette).
The pod comes with one cartridge and two coils. Both of the Caliburn G coils have a value of 1 ohm for use between 10 and 15 W. They also work with another pod made by the brand, the Caliburn G. The cartridge has a capacity of 2 ml. It’s not much, but it works with the small size of the pod. Plus, the coils don’t use much e-liquid. You just inhale to vape. There are no settings to adjust, no buttons to press. It’s totally simple.
You insert the coil into the cartridge from below. It’s held in place by an upper and lower seal. Lifting the drip tip cap reveals a small hole for filling it with liquid. You’ll find narrow bottle tips make this much easier. The cartridge is transparent, so it’s easy to see the fill level. At least, it is when it’s not inside the pod. Once you put it onto the battery, it’s impossible to see how much liquid is left without removing the tank. The tiny window on the side is supposed to show this but it’s too dark to really judge the liquid level. That’s really the only downside to this pod.
When it comes to vaping, it’s perfection. The flavours are excellent for a product of this type. The coils do their job perfectly. You can even use a 70% VG and 30% PG liquid without ever feeling that the wick’s dry. The second coil works with a value of 0.8 ohm. We had the chance to test it, and the results were the same – it’s excellent. This second coil allows more dynamic inhalation but it’s still meant for indirect inhalation. You can use the pod for direct inhalation but it’s very restricted. This isn’t really what the Caliburn Koko Prime is for, as it works best for indirect inhalation.
