Jay-Z’s Cannabis Line Monogram Releases First Round of Goods

Share

After curating a special TIDAL playlist fittingly entitled “2020 Vision COVID-19”, JAY-Z now swings our attention to one of his latest business ventures in Monogram — a legal cannabis imprint that just debuted its first line of products. Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter’s high-end cannabis brand, Monogram, launches its first products in California on Thursday with a four-strain line of craft, indoor-grown cannabis flower and joints.

For this inaugural batch, Mr. Carter delivers a range of cannabis flower and joints, all of which are indoor-grown. Three different products are pushed to the frontlines here including the OG Handroll, the Loosies Preroll Pack and the Flower which is housed in either 2g or 4g jars.

Monogram’s cannabis strains—named No. 88, No. 96, No. 70 and No. 01 and developed by veteran grower DeAndre “De” Watson —come in three strengths: “light,” “medium” and “heavy.”

The products are available right now on the Monogram online shop, and they range from $40 USD to $70 USD.

In the later October this year, he launched a cannabis line called Monogram. It’s a partnership with California cannabis company Caliva. The website teased glossy shots of marijuana, but gave no information on what it would offer or a release date. Would-be customers could check the site to be “first in line for the drop.”

According to a press release, Monogram wanted to “redefine what cannabis means to consumers today,” with “careful strain selection, meticulous cultivation practices and uncompromising quality.” The company’s website said experts grow the Monogram flower so that each plant receives “personalized attention.”
