China’s E-cigarette Exports to France in September 2023

According to the latest trade data from the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China, 2FIRSTS has compiled the e-cigarette export figures from China to France in September 2023. The details are as follows:

The export volume reached approximately 15.58 million US dollars, marking a 4.89% increase compared to the previous period and a 2.14% increase year-on-year.

The export volume reached approximately 271 tons, representing a month-to-month increase of 6.53% and a year-on-year increase of 27.43%.

The export unit price decreased by 1.53% compared to the previous period and decreased by 19.85% compared to the same period last year. The average price of “e-cigarettes and similar personal electronic vaporizers” is $8.15 per unit.

Among them, “e-cigarettes and similar personal electronic vaporizing devices” accounted for 55% of the export commodity category, while “non-combustible products containing nicotine that do not contain tobacco or reconstituted tobacco” accounted for 45%.

According to data from Statista, it is predicted that the e-cigarette market revenue in France will reach $1.1 billion by 2023. The market is expected to have an annual growth rate of 0.72% from 2023 to 2028. In terms of per capita income, the average e-cigarette consumption per person in France is projected to be $19.23 in 2023. The e-cigarette market in France continues to thrive; however, Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne has announced a plan to ban the sale of disposable e-cigarettes by the end of this year.
