Smoking Habits in Slovakia: A Closer Look at E-Cigarettes and Nicotine Pouches
According to a recent report by TASS, Slovakia is home to a population where 23% of individuals aged 15 and above engage in smoking. This percentage tends to be slightly higher than the average smoking rate of 20% among European Union countries. Moreover, it is interesting to note that approximately 10% of the population in Slovakia has experimented with e-cigarettes and nicotine pouches.
E-cigarettes and nicotine pouches have gained popularity among a significant portion of adults. Surprisingly, among heavy users of e-cigarettes, 90% of them developed their smoking habit during their middle school years.
As Slovakia’s smoking prevalence slightly surpasses the EU average, these statistics shed light on the country’s smoking habits and the growing trend of alternative smoking methods such as e-cigarettes and nicotine pouches.
