Oregon lawmakers killed a proposal to ban flavored nicotine vape products.

This proposed bill intended to ban all types of vaping devices including disposable, refillable mod vapes and cartridge-based flavored pod system products.

In the November ballot, the lobbyist denoted that the state would lose $22.6 million tax revenue soon if the ban took effect, which is substantial and significant.

The lawmaker was astonished and calculated it again, which goes with the result of the lobbyist. So to ensure the vape tax revenue, not only the flavor ban died, but also a new statewide licensing system for vape shops selling flavored vapes is established. It means the lawmaker would protect the vape shops to make sure they make enough money for tax.

The newly amended bill is being passed soon.
