According to the latest trade data from the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China, there has been a notable fluctuation in the e-cigarette export figures from China to Paraguay in October 2023.
Exports amounted to approximately $6.33 million, which, while showing a significant month-on-month decline of 31.52%, also demonstrated a robust year-on-year increase of 37.22%. This pattern indicates a complex dynamic in the e-cigarette trade between these two countries.
The export volume stood at approximately 126 tons, which reveals a decrease of 28.12% compared to the previous period. Despite this decrease, there was a notable year-on-year increase of 46.5%, suggesting a growing market over a longer time frame.
A crucial aspect of this trade analysis is the export unit price, which decreased by 4.74% month-on-month and 6.33% year-on-year, reaching $50.21 per kilogram. The average price for individual items categorized as “e-cigarettes and similar personal electronic vaporizers” was reported to be $3.37 per unit.
In terms of product categories, “e-cigarettes and similar personal electronic vaporizers” comprised 2% of the exported products. In contrast, the bulk of the exports, at 98%, were made up of “non-combustible nicotine-containing products that do not contain tobacco or substitute tobacco”.
