A generous package
The Tita X AIO kit consists of a box and a tank with a coil. The box brings together a host of well-designed details which you’re sure to love using every day. The housing can take 2 battery sizes: either an 18650 with the adaptor provided or a 21700. A shade bigger than its big brother, the Tita AIO (with a 18650 battery and a Dot Aio type tank), the Tita X is an excellent upgrade that allows really flexible vaping. The battery housing cap unscrews in just a few turns. The thread is well made and smooth.
A small tab on the cap makes it easy to screw on and unscrew. When it’s raised, you can see a small magnet, which fits perfectly into the rest of the metal part when it’s back in position. There is zero chance of this part moving unexpectedly.
The fire button is on the side of the box. If you press the switch with your index finger, the mod will suit left- and right-handed people. If you press with your thumb, it will suit a right-handed user better because its rounded shape fits more naturally into the palm of your hand, which isn’t the case for anyone left-handed. The fire button is surrounded by metal and stands 0.4 mm proud of the box. Even so, it’s still discreet and doesn’t spoil the design of the box.
Three transparent drip tips come with it. The interior openings vary in shape and size to offer MTL or restricted DL. The drip tips are all 510s and can be replaced with a standard model. Like all billet boxes, the mouthpiece is fits into a metal base that screws onto the top of the box.
This is what holds the tank in place and connects the electrics. What makes the drip tip supplied so original is the four small pins that fit into the section you screw in.
This detail makes it much easier to access its tank since all you have to do is turn the drip tip to loosen the locking screw – no tools needed.
The screen and settings buttons are on the bottom of the box, as is the USB-C port for charging as needed. The buttons are small but easy to access. Pressing them makes a dull clicking sound. There is absolutely no play at all.
The black and white screen is easy to read. Capable of delivering up to 60 W, the chipset is a good match for a 18650 or a 21700 battery. The Tita X AIO has taken things back to basics and only has one wattage setting.
There’s no need for all those menus here, you can only set your power level or rotate the screen. That’s it! This makes the mod accessible to a lot of different vapers who aren’t interested in complex box settings. You can vary the power level from 1 to 60 W, in 0.1 W increments.
There’s a metal cover on the box to protect the tank and the display. The large window lets you check your e-liquid level at a glance. When it’s in place, it hides the screen and covers the buttons.
Unfortunately, there was some play in the one we tested, despite the magnets.
It also comes with a second, transparent plastic panel which lets you see the screen. Once the plastic panel is fitted it stays firmly in place, unlike the metal one.
Room to grow
The kit comes with a V4 boro tank. It’s designed for use with the industrial coil it’s shipped with. However, it’s perfectly possible to use it with a rebuildable bridge. It’s slightly tinted but is transparent enough to see your e-liquid level. It has a capacity of 4 ml and you fill it from the top or the side, depending on which way you lift the silicone tab. You don’t need to remove the protective cover to fill it. That’s a real plus.
The air intakes are on the bottom of the tank and are a good size and do a good job of cooling the coil. The top and bottom seals work just as well with the coil it is shipped with as if you use the tank with a bridge.
The kit comes with two coils of the same value. It also has two different chimneys. One has a bigger opening inside it for a cooler, airier vape. This is a good feature that allows you to vary your vaping experience.
Both coils are 0.3 ohm mesh VPC 02 coils for use from 30 to 45 W. The come with two airflow rings which you fit at the base of the coil. Although there’s an MTL drip tip in the kit, these coils are actually better suited to DLR. The flavours are enjoyable and true. We especially enjoyed fruit flavoured liquids, which work better with mesh coils and cold vapour.
The Tita X AIO is an excellent kit from Aio for anyone looking to get into using boro tanks. The kit is really comprehensive, with the drip tips, coils and accessories in the box. It offers the option to move into rebuildables or to use bridges that work with the box. Thanks to its 21700 battery, you can use the box for long vaping sessions. What great way to start!
