Russia passes a bill to restrict the sale and advertisement of electronic cigarette products

On July 24, according to foreign reports, members of the Russian State Duma passed a bill restricting the use of electronic cigarettes and hookah.

According to a statement by the legislative authorities, the measure imposes restrictions on the use of electronic nicotine delivery systems (ends) and hookah machines in certain areas, places and rooms, and requires the display of electronic cigarette products in audiovisual works of minors and adults.

In addition, according to the Russian state information agency, the document also limits the sale and use of steam products: the sale to minors and the use of children are prohibited.

There are also proposals to impose administrative fines on violations of prescribed restrictions.
